This design kit is set up for generic PCB designs. If you just want to try out the new version, you can simply delete the text block in the middle and carry on.
However, before you start a serious design, you should choose (or possibly create) the appropriate design kit for your application. To install a design kit, just select the DesignKitInstaller tool in the Tools menu. It will give you a list of the kits that are currently installed and those that are available. You can use the Install and Remove buttons to modify the lists.
The DesignKitInstaller tool does not actually move or create any files. It simply makes entries in the DesignWorks Setup file to point to the desired design kits.
You have to quit and restart DesignWorks in order for the design kit's libraries, templates, etc. to be available to you.
We have supplied a number of design kits for common applications, such as PCB layout, SPICE simulation, FPGA design, etc. However, even if one of these kits matches your application quite closely, you may wish to make some modifications to customize the sheet templates with your company logo, etc.
See the file "Read Me About Design Kits" in the Design Kits folder for more information on customizing design kits.
